Each firing is individual, as it depends on:
- the initial temperature in the sauna or hot tub,
- the ambient temperature,
- the current weather conditions,
- and the condition of the firewood.
Therefore, no standard lighting times can be given. Basically, you should allow approx. 1 h to a maximum of 2.5 h for the lighting process. In the following you will find important information that will help you heat the stove of the hot tub or sauna:
Ash
If there are still cooled down ashes from previous guests in the ash box of the sauna and/or hot tub, dispose of them in the ash bucket.
Firewood
Please use the wood from the double wood storage next to (NOT across from) the sauna entrance door. The felt bag can be used to transport the firewood to the stove.
Initial firing
Place thin logs with about 2-3 fire starters (these are located in the sauna entrance area) in the center of the stove. Then fill the stove up to the top with thicker logs. Now you can light the firelighters and close the stove door.
IMPORTANT for sauna stove: The logs must be placed lengthwise up to the back wall and must not be stacked in the front insertion shaft.
IMPORTANT for hot tub: The air supply on the stove door must be open during firing (move the slider to the middle position) and can be gradually closed during the firing process. The lid of the hot tub should remain closed during firing for faster heating.
Reloading
As long as the fire shall not go out, you must add logs every 30 to 45 minutes. Stop adding logs before the desired temperature is reached, as the stove will reheat.
Temperature control
In order to achieve an even distribution of heat in the hot tub, flip open one side of the lid at regular intervals and move the water with your arm. Alternatively, you can briefly switch on the water massage function (button 4) several times during the heating process.
Please check the temperature with the help of the thermometer.
Sauna thermometer: When you enter the sauna, you will find it on the left side of the wall.
Hot tub thermometer: The thermometer floats in the water. The temperature can be checked there and also on the display, which is located in the sauna anteroom.
Maximum temperature
The internal temperature of the sauna must not exceed 100 degrees. In case of exceeding it, open the window and provide sufficient cooling. For the hot tub, a temperature of 34 – 36 degrees is recommended. 40 degrees should not be exceeded.
